render.mergeEmail uses Email Templates

No, I am trying to generate a email to the customer that has a custom field where I can put a list of "referenced invoices"

I think you're probably better off explaining in non-technical terms what the end result should be, as the above doesn't really make sense

So we send mass emails containing pdf's of late invoices to customers. I am trying to display in a suitelet the pdf's that were referenced. I guess showing attachments could work but it may not show all of the pdf's if it is combined.
