Is there a good way to do a mass import to remove all instances of an item member or do i have to reupload a new set of completly revised BOMs that doesnt contain the item io be removed. Im not using ADV BOMs.

You should be able to check the box overwrite sublist under advanced option on import option section

That would require me to overwrite the entire BOM though right? I cant just overwrite a single line item with a "blank" member? My quick fix is that i just set the item as Inactive with an obsolescence date so it doesnt generate demand for that line when the assembly is ordered.

Yeah, I don’t think you can remove one item

I always have to do this in 2 imports 1. Mark a custom checkbox on all items containing the inactive item 2. Export all items AND their complete BOMs that contain the custom checkbox in step 1 3. Remove the inactive item manually in Excel 4. Import to the BOMs using the overwrite sublists function as @Suitestallion suggested
