does anyone know what the timing is for scheduled workflows running every 30 minutes? is it just vaguely "around :30 and :00 after the hour"? doesn't seem to be any way to tell or any info in suiteanswers
t
doesn't the timer start when you set it to released?
you can tell by just setting a field value, or a send email action
and then waiting 30minutes
a
True, good point.

I'm fairly sure it's roughly at :30 & :00, regardless of when it's started.

No clue, replying to find out. I thought it was like scripts - centered on the creation/release time but with some wiggle depending on how much other stuff is activating.

Yes it always runs at :00 and :30 for me. There is some delay mostly because I have a few going so I'm pretty sure they go in some sort of succession. So some end up at :07 and :37. Stuff like that but mostly on the hour and half hour

Agree with @AI1 - I think they get put into some sort of queue with other tasks at :00 and :30 but depending on how many scheduled scripts + workflows, etc happening at that time, most my scheduled scripts don't start until 5-8 minutes after :00 and :30
a
that makes sense - i wonder if it only queues up with other workflow scheduled tasks or if it shares the queue with scheduled and map/reduce scripts? i also wonder how much impact suitecloud plus licenses have on scheduled workflow queues
a
Yes I believe the Scheduled workflows are considered the exact same as Scheduled Scripts but I think they are different than MR scripts. With suitecloud plus you get multiple threads/queues and I feel like NS will utilize them dynamically to complete the tasks scheduled if one queue is backlogged.

Did you ever test this and get a definitive answer, @al3xicon ?
a
it seemed to be what the consensus was - they do run on 00 and 30, but not exactly - and there's no way to see where they are in the queue or exactly on what minute they will execute

but i guess that's good enough
