netsuite wont try to overwrite the shipping cost if that field is true

It seems to be set to true even when it was not manually overwritten.

I dont' know how you read that suiteanswer differently to me - I thought it wasn't explicit at all.

"Setting this field value to true should retain the value of the calculated shipping cost."

What it means is if you set to true then the system won't override whatever is manually entered into the field - that's not what it says. The word 'calculated' implies the system came up with the valuie.

and that setting the field to true would prevent that

I still read it as the inverse of what you're saying - maybe my pedantic british english isn't parsing it

Interestingly my Filipino colleague understood it the same way as you - their English is also american though

the sentences makes more sense in a different order
