there is intercompany time/expense for employees/depending on the role can access all subs, but for the employee itself, no, they only have 1 subsidiary.

An employee has a primary subsidiary, but you can manage the subsidiaries they can access via roles

almost always if you're MNC, and you want to do employee transfers you'll have to create new employee records, and inactive the old one
It's ok to explain to HR because for that subsidiary it's like a new employee.

In some way, if you were HR, could you have approached it differently?

Thanks for the help guys - we decided to create a new employee record for the second sub. We wanted to be able to attach an employee on a JE line

I assume you're talking about expenses ie a journal with expense accounts, and the entity field on the line? This works I think haha good enough?
