I'm terrible w/ SQL so it may motivate me to improve on that one. It seems like its more straight forward over saved searches

I'm with you on SQL Chris. However even my relative distaste for SQL as a language is dwarfed by how much easier/useful I've found SuiteQL. I have only used it a bit, but I never did warm up to the obtuse API presented by
N/query
. Between all the available search options from script I find myself reaching for SuiteQL more and more. The one bummer is you can't do a 'saved search' via SuiteQL as far as I know - e.g. to let folks tweak the search in UI if needed.

Yep the "ability to tweak" is what has kept me from not using it as i'd say almost 90% of the time its driven by some saved search they want to control.
