according to the SuiteScript Guide, when adding fields to a sublist, field type LONGTEXT is allowed. But when I try to add such a field, I get this error: You have entered an invalid type argument: LONGTEXT

i think the ss1 documentation is more obvious in what is supported: addField(name, type, label, source)

thank you. that's interesting. the SS2.0 documentation clearly enumerates certain field types that are NOT supported, but says nothing about LongText ... but this SS1.0 documentation doesn't list that type

your hopes for long text should be low, custom transaction line fields dont support it
