@battk I appreciate the offer, but it's a big script that would be hard to cut down while still including the relevant pieces and I'd like to rewrite it in SS2.x at some point, so for now I just gave up and used

request.getParameter()

for the two new fields. It's a totally functional solution, just very confusing.
