Anyone know what account setting allows for the `altname` to be available and used?

did you find some weird account without the field?

I have a few accounts where this is not available.

I just don't know what the difference is.

Looks like it's related to auto generated numbers

Now I just need to know how to detect this via script using the account config or something.

It doesn't look like the page for auto-generated numbers is available to load.

I don't see what I need here. Unless it's under some other ID/Name?

hopefully `Auto Name Customers` is good enough for you

auto numbering settings is not supported by suitescript

completely useless for suitescript. you might be better off loading a random customer record to see if it has the altname field on it
