is definitely the way to go.

keep in mind that netsuite does its own escaping somewhere
using ?xml makes it work for code
fail for native printing

@battk Funny enough when printing a custom record the Advanced PDF Template behave like if it was using
render
or as you say code, and this is perfectly normal with a regular/standard print button in the custom record without any scripting involved.
