In user event scripts, before submit, xedit. Are all the record values not available in the newRecord available in the oldRecord?

Source for SS1.0 but I'm pretty sure it's the same for SS2.x

I logged the serialized context earlier today to see what was happening and it had a lot of data in the oldRecord attribute. I just thought about it when I sat down tonight and was hoping I had just missed this detail. I must have been in a different context. Thanks
