Not sure if this is the right channel to ask this, but I am trying to set up @creece’s plugin for webstorm and I when I try deploying I am getting
The remote server returned an error:
<https://xxxxxx.app.netsuite.com:443/app/suiteapp/devframework/ideinstallhandler.nl> - Moved Temporarily
Anyone have any suggestions for me?
s
I have seen this error before and it is a permission issue, but I can't recall which permission is needed to resolve it. Are you using the SDF Developer role, or a custom role?
a
Custom role
I didn't know there was a SDF developer role
a
@Azi I don't think @creece is updating or maintaining that plugin anymore since there is an official NetSuite SDF Plugin for WebStorm..
s
@alien4u makes a good point. You can find out about both the Developer role for SDF and the official SuiteCloud IDE plugin for WebStorm in SuiteAnswers
a
@alien4u @scottvonduhn Interesting. I see the plugin I installed and I am using is in fact the official Netsuite plugin. I thought I saw @creece 's name on it yesterday.
The setup I did until now came from the help center. It doesn't indicate to use any specific role. It just says
In the Roles list, select the role that you want to log in to using token-based authentication.
s
Try adding the Setup > "SuiteApp Deployment" permission to the role you are using, if it doesn't have it already. I think that might be the permission required.

Thanks. I'll try. From this question in Stack overflow it appears that you were correct in everything you were saying https://stackoverflow.com/questions/53418496/netsuite-sdf-error-when-deploy-on-webstorm
Yeah trying that all now. Thanks guys
a
@Azi Another thing you need to consider, last version of WebStorm is not compatible with the SDF Plugin...
You need to use a previous version...
a
😱
@alien4u are you sure about that?
a
200% sure... You need to use JetBrains Toolbox and have a previous version installed, 2019.1.4 works fine.
the important section

I'm convinced @battk is a NS help slackbot
😆 2
k
You can use the latest erosion of webstorm you just need to update the JRE version. Not sure where the details are as not at the pc at the moment
b
Its easier to leave consistent comments if i just point out the relevant help guide
👍 2
a
@battk Agree with you, but the help is not always right or accurate, compare to real life experience...
That help is saying: WebStorm version — The WebStorm plug-in requires version 2018.2.5. when it works correctly without any errors with 2019.1.4
s
2018.2.5 is just the "supported" version
definitely works with 2019.1.4, though
a
I already changed the JRE version as @karlenigma suggested so the latest version should work?
b
As i said its easier. I try not to link the helps that are wrong or confusing. (Especially suiteanswer articles)
k
Well I am always on the latest version and never have an issue at all.
b
I highlighted the important section since it explicitly says what to do for 2019.2
e
Sorry to distract; my attempt a quick joke failed miserably
😂 3
a
I actually thought it was quite funny!
a
@karlenigma Do you use command line to issue tokens and stuff like that or all UI?
k
All UI
a
I found that the last version, even after updating JRE/JDK does not work correctly for me, I do everything from the UI...
k
Weird. I’ll check my version.
a
Are you able to remove and issue tokens from the UI for different accounts?
k
I tend to keep my own saved as I use the admin for prod and a different one for sb as you still cannot have the same role with tokens on the 2 Enviroments
a
You lost me here @karlenigma I use the SDF Role for both, Sandbox and Productions and both working with Tokens and same Role.
k
Odd. I tried to use the same role for both environments and every time I added a token to one or the other they wouldn’t work.
a
@karlenigma That is exactly why you should be using 2019.1.4 with JetBrains Toolbox... problem solved...
k
Ah well. It works the way I have it 😂 I’m not bothered

@alien4u What is the recommended JRE/JDK to use with SDF?
a
@rustyshackles There is a link in the this thread to the help center with the NetSuite recommended ones,.
I use this and I have no problems so far...
