I'm looking more for a way to determine the list of available fields without looking at an existing record - e.g. imagine a UI similar to how you can select fields in a workflow condition or saved search filter criteria. NetSuite has ways behind the scenes to quickly look up this metadata info, but I've never seen an easy way to do it via script.
