I have experienced the this with Support, they know something is a defect they know it needs fixing but keep trying "could you just try doing "this" in case that doesn't cause an error..." it's really, really poor.

Yes, we even pay for support and they pull this. It's a systematic way to keep you busy and/or annoy you so you stop responding and they close the ticket. Very frustrating
