Yea I can see now for sure that the SO is a top level kit item and then the two component items. And theyre both Non Inventory Items

Idk I think I need to research custom kits more and maybe go back to them with setup issues. This might not be an issue on my side after all

as long as the 2 components are not drop ship or special order, you should not have extra complications

Thats why the PO generates with the two child items

so you are saying that you have 1 sales order with 3 items, 1 kit item and 2 drop shipped non inventory items. with the kit item also being composed of 2 drop shipped non inventory items

um so the SO has 3 lines total. 1 kit item, and the 2 drop shipped non inventory component items

do you have the Display Components on Transactions checkbox marked on the kit item

I dont see that anywhere, including searching using netsuite field explorer

It's weird because the kit item is also a Non Inventory item when I click it

There's no Components tab, but it's listed as a kit item with the two component items on the custom kit list

Thats why I'm thinking maybe they just set up their kits wrong or something, but I've never seen kits before this so idk what "right" and "wrong" is for kit setup

But there's a page under Lists -&gt; Custom Kits -&gt; View Custom Kits that shows the Custom Kit List with this item and its two component items

But clicking on it from the Kit Item column brings me to a Non Inventory Item page, not a kit page like your screenshot. I just don't know how this system works

you have some sort of customization that is emulating kit items

ha i was afraid of that. yea i think this is something they have to fix i guess
