12 scripts in a few weeks for a beginner is aggressive, if not outright mean, irresponsible, and unrealistic

I agree.  It's not quite that bad.  It's more they have given me 2 weeks to see how far I can get then we can really estimate how long it might realistically take.  It's more me being stubborn and looking to smash it.

So, the suggestion below is that you do coaching?  This might be an option if i can get some budget.
