It also looks like the record is locked and I'm not sure how I'd get around that
j
It the record in a closed accounting period?
a
I'm not exactly sure how to check that, but the record is from 2018 so I'm assuming it is
j
You'll need to either open the accounting period again or there is a checkbox on the close record that lets you make non-GL impacting changes. Setup>>Accounting>>Manage Accounting Periods
a
This record is from 2018 Q4 and all three months under Q4 say they allow non-G/L changes already
j
Is there a workflow that is locking the record? You said you can't edit it in the UI?
a
It doesn't say there's any active workflows and I am able to edit the record via the UI manually, just not with a restlet
j
And your TBA role is set up as the same role you use in the UI? Got me there. I see that some other people solved a similar issue by redoing the integration just skimming the web quick... maybe that'll do the trick.

My UI role is Administrator but the restlet role only has access to what it's needed so far. I'm trying to figure out what the different permission is
r
Just did this. You'll need to build a role from zero and test against what ever you're trying to do in the UI.
Whatever you need in the UI, you'll need for your TBA role.
Might be hard for you tho, I was doing a saved search so it was easy.
j
My recommendation is to give yourself that role on your employee record so you can take the same actions in the UI with that role. You'll probably see the permissions you need be presented to you in the UI.
