I'd normally start jamming in logging either side of the send to make sure everything was as I expected and that the code was being hit, might be worth a punt if you haven't already.

Yeah, I have logging on either side of the call making sure it's not quitting before the send. I'm also printing whatever the send call is suppose to return, but it's nothing
