Hi everyone! Has anyone here worked with the Effective Date Pricing bundle before?
l
We were trying to consider it in our pricing solution before but it didn't meet with our requirements because we're not using the Pricing feature on the Item record.
Would recommend to test it in a Sandbox or a test account. It's a bunch of custom records put together to schedule the pricing of a certain item.
k
Ok, I'm trying to figure out how to create a pricing update prices record from a pricing update record
via script
I'm guessing it'll be record.transform or some such but haven't figured it out yet
l
what do you mean pricing update record? can you post the URL here?
k
I'm not sure what URL you mean, it's a custom record type that comes with the bundle
Nope, record.transform does not support custom records. 😕
l
I thought you were referring to a standard record or something. If it's a custom record I don't think you can use record.transform for that.
yup! it's only supported for standard records that has transform features 🙂
you're probably better off with record.create and just reference the other custom record
k
yeah that's what I tried first, but it said I couldn't create one without the other, so I'm not sure where it went wrong
l
what exactly is the error?
k
Pricing Update record is required to create a Pricing Update Prices record. Please create a Pricing Update record first.
which I did do
looks like it's dying on record.create
before I have a chance to even set the value for the related record
Maybe I can do it in defaultValues...
l
"Pricing Update record is required to create a Pricing Update Prices record. Please create a Pricing Update record first." I think this is an error thrown by a UE script from that bundle. How is it done in the UI? Probably follow that route?
k
in the UI it's created by clicking a button on a sublist
Here's the action on the button
Copy code
onclick="document.location='/app/common/custom/custrecordentry.nl?rectype=364&pf=CUSTRECORD_NSTS_EP_PRICINGUPDATE&pi=6414&pr=361'; return false;
so I guess that's what I'd need to emulate
