What IDE are people using to dev suitescript in? We feel like we're being held back by NetSuite's decision to only support officially Mars2 version of Eclipse as it's so old now... Webstorm and their pricing is somewhat a kick in the nuts when you're already paying for Visual Studio etc too

Based on last survey if I remember correctly the top two were Eclipse and Webstorm.

How much is a Webstorm license? I still use Mars
e
Individual license for WebStorm is ~$70 annually, and it gets cheaper the longer you have it. If you have a startup business, that drops to like $50
easily pays for itself in about 4 hours

I agree with Eric - the webstorm price is trivial. Not sure what flavor of Visual Studio you pay for now, but at certain licensing levels a single license cost for VS could buy webstorm for dozens of people.
I can also generally recommend VS Code, if you only want to use free tools.
lastly, regarding visual studio, you might want to try the other JetBrains IDEs (e.g. https://www.jetbrains.com/rider/)

I much prefer Rider to VS. PHPStorm is ace. DataGrip is pretty good. The price for subscription to all the JetBrains products is cheap for any serious developer.

I use VS Code myself. I took over maintaining this NetSuite extension for it, which makes my life sooo much easier. https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=nsupload-org.netsuite-upload
