Hi, anyone have any experience with custom transaction types? We are looking at implementing one for cash entries specifically and would like to hear about any experiences that anyone has had

Yes. Was incredibly easy to set up

Yes custom transactions are quite easy to use and offer more flexibility than some native transactions. You can even use workflows to transform these custom transactions into native ones in certain situations. (Like into Invoices, Credit Memos, Vendor Bills, etc)

Just make sure you have all of your use cases defined up front and vetted out. Its tough to make changes once you create the custom transaction.
