#CFG7DNCM9 Is anyone using Gift Cards with the Shopify <> NetSuite INtegration App for Celigo? I am struggling to get the Gift Card amount to come through on the Order/Invoice when a Gift card is used to pay for an order. I've asked Celigo support and their solution is I need to manually edit the Invoice and add the Gift Card line onto it. If I don't do this then there always remains a balance open on the Invoice which matches the gift card amount. This can't really be the solution can it??!!??
m
That's odd. I've used gift cards with multiple integrations for years with Celigo.
Gift Card is added as a negative value to your Gift Card payment sku.
n
Yeah this seems really odd to me as well. So in your experience the Gift Carrd was added as a negative line item to the Order/Invoice?
m
1000%.

That's what I was expecting to happen and it just doesn't do it. This was my response from Celigo support "This is understood. Since nothing was sent to NetSuite, what I can see is to edit the Invoice Manually on the Item Line itself. The Gift Card was already added, and all we need to do is Click Edit on Invoice > Navigate to Items tab > Click Amount field for Gift Card > Add "-500.00" on the field and Click Save. From here it should post the -500 on the amount and you should be able to see that it was deducted on the Summary data of the Invoice record. Please let me know the result of the changes and if you have further concerns. Thank you!"
I don't get it...i know nothing was sent into NetSuite, that's the whole reason I created the support case!! LOL
m
In the Celigo settings, you do have a item in the "NetSuite item to track Shopify gift card redemption as a line item" field?
n
Yes
m
Maybe just send this to them: https://docs.celigo.com/hc/en-us/articles/115006107487-Configure-Shopify-integration-app-settings • "*NetSuite item to track Shopify order gift card redemption as a line item*: Choose a NetSuite item from the drop-down list to track your Shopify order gift card redemption as a line item. The selected item is added as a line item on the NetSuite sales order. In NetSuite, ensure to create the item either as a non-inventory, or other charge. "
n
Ok I'll try
I sent them this article
Which when reading it, seems to indicate that the integration app should be doing EXACTLY what I would want
but it's not doing it
It adds the line item for the gift card redemption, but it is always at $0...never for the gift card amount
The article also states that I should be able to get the Gift Card IDs as a comma separated value in the custom Gift Card ID field in NetSuite, that isn't happening either
However, that is more of a nice to have, right now I just need to get the $$$ amount to be accurate
So now they are saying this "The concern is experienced with the Shopify data that is being sent to Celigo Integrator. Our Shopify-NS Integration App will only capture the Gift Card payment if it's a "*Sale*" type in Transactions JSON this excludes any kind equal to Capture and Authorization. Hence the handlebar or even the default mapping of the gift card is not working and showing as a zero amount when the order gets imported in NetSuite." This just makes no sense
Why does this have to be so hard...LOL
@mightyd3 Do you happen to know if there is any configuraiton I can do in Shopify so that Gift Cards are marked as "sale" when they are used instead of using "authorization -> capture"? I'm not as familiar with Shoipfy config/setup
