I have administrator access. When I try to assign myself any role except admin, I receive "Login access has been disabled for this role." All roles are active. Any idea what may cause this?

Did you try logging out and logging in?

Yes. It is something role/system based. Standard netsuite roles do not have this.

maybe SSO is implemented for the role
Go to the role/permissio/setup
and check if you have this permission for the specific role SAML Single Sign-on

Role has full access to that permission.

If its there, most likely your company is using SSO
I would be cautious to remove it
if other users are using this role
they will most liekly have to setup a new password to login

Best option is to copy the role into a new one and remove the SAML permission and use the role for your self

Or login via SSO to that role when testing with it
