has anyone noticed that if you set a field to mandatory via client side suitescript the mandatory asterisk shows up but it does not prevent you from saving the record.. does anyone know if this bug has been reported?

@bputnam yes, i noticed that a long time ago… i ended up making a client library that sets it mandatory and also adds to an object to check the field again on saveRecord.. this was even prior to 2.0 days.. im sure its a bug, just never filed anything for it
