Hey all, has anybody used Netsuite OneWorld (I'm guessing there are quite a few...)? Are there any foot-guns that might be good for us to be aware of in upgrading from regular Netsuite to Netsuite OneWorld? (Had some when turning on Inventory Locations... which was painful for about 2 weeks).

Permissions: Now the roles can be subsidiary specific. Subsidiary filters: Accounts, Items, Departments, Locations, etc. can be subsidiary specific. Employees: Can't be multi-subsidiary. Can't change the employee subsidiary if the user has related transactions. CSV Imports: If you have some saved csv imports, now subsidiary is a required field for transactions. Intercompany transactions: You will need a well defined process to deal with eliminations, etc.

@Edgar Valdes Thanks so much! I will pay attention to all of these 🙂

There are a lot more to check I'm sure 🤷 When we create a new subsidiary, this are the common support questions: Why can't I see this transaction? Your role doesn't have access to subsidiary x What does the error mean in the csv import? The combination of subsidiary x and element y is not available Why can't I set this account in this item? The combination of subsidiary x and account y is not available The employee has the wrong subsidiary, so the expense report is also wrong You need to create a new employee with the correct subsidiary Why can't I create this intercompany transaction? The customer and vendor have the wrong subsidiary.

consider if items, customers and vendors need to be made available all or specific subisidiaries (include children checkbox) if assemblies and BOM are in play this also applies here...
