it's in a client script. essentially the idea is that I need to identify and pull the next available number from a custom record set that contains a large block of numbers. So I pass in an ID to filter the number set down, then I look to see if any of those are not previously assigned. I see the uncaught message in the console. when the script works and pulls in a number, it is saved to the record and the screen refreshes
