@jen try adding

ignoreFieldChange: false

on your setCurrentSublistValue calls. I recall having an issue with this that I spoke to support about and it worked for them with

fireSlavingSync; true

and

ignoreFieldChange: false

, but I couldn't get it to work. I used SS1 and it was fine.
