If it’s a user event, you can execute as administrator. If it’s a client script, you’ll need to query a suitelet to retrieve your data and execute the suitelet as administrator.

matt, thanks for response. the problem here, is I am indeed running it from a suitelet, but I cannot have admin access for the suitelet. I have created a custom role and provided specific permissions required for perform search/find transcations to aid the nlapiLookup though.
