Has anyone had any luck pulling the expected ship date form a line level of a sales order through to a work order on create (so before work order is saved) I can do it after create using a sourced field and a search and a workflow to store the value, but really need it before hand.

You can use SuiteScript.

yeah trying to avoid with a script was hoping someone had a trickt with a workflow or sourcing form a search, i have something from suite answers i foudn but it wont update on create due to the way the search needs to be set up.

Try workflow on entry.

Normally this would work but rhe trick to get the date is to use the work order as the filter instead of the sales order (according to suite answers) so as the work order isnt saved yet, it has no work order to filter on at that pint - https://suiteanswers.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/35124/loc/en_US Maybe there is a better way, but this is what i based getting the date off - i just updated the search so i could use it for field sourcing.
