$2700-3700 USD conversion per month.. time to start outsourcing my day job if this is what people will take a lead dev for. It's Philippines money once you read the posting.

Note that Philippines's GDP per capita (nominal) is $3498 USD per year for 2022. In that sense it is quite a good income for that country. Note that there are lots of seasoned NS folks in Philippines - NS got a big presence there.

It just seems crazy how cheaply they hire workers

Someone from Dubai called me up last year pitching a position , saying tax free income of 15k-18k Dirham/ month which is less that 5k USD. Told him don't insult me with this crappy pay try calling some prospects outside of North America.

Does that say that your company is doing well and can afford in-country resources? are they just trying to be cheap?

One of nephew moved to UAE working for Amazon HR and he is making over 200K+ USD tax free which is about 265-75K when you account for tax. He doesn't want to move back - though he says Dubai is expensive but ultra modern and extremely fun place to be. He knows if he moves back he gotta pay taxes on his income.

It def looks like its got a lot of modern stuff. Tax free is amazing.
