q: i added a new custbody field xml file in "Objects" and deployed; I see it in the customization list but i don't see the ability to search by it in sales order search. its contents (except the name and field type=text) are the same as another body field i created this way. what am i missing?

probably a better question for #C42JX79UZ but I'm not sure what you mean by "name" there is no name tag in the the xml file for a custbody field. are you talking about the label? or the script id? I think both would need to be different

i think most people create new objects in the UI, then add them into their SDF projects via their IDE, rather than just editing the XML

i'm looking at them in the ui and i can't identify any difference between them
other than one shows up as a selectable field and one doesn't
(when performing a search on sales orders)
