Ah interesting so with search.global I can create a search that searches globally + a few extra things. I could utilize this search on the post processing of a suitelet form. Stick it in a portlet. And then is there a way to replace this portlet with where the global search is on the top so it shows up on all pages for a certain role? or am I missing something? and I can actually utilize search.global to hook into the existing global search? I think either could be implemented pretty nicely on my end.
