Morning 🙂 Has anyone got any ideas on ways to be able to input a budget figure for item quantity? I know I asked a year ago, it was a no as a standard feature but they're still after it. Would statistical accounts potentially work? Not something i've got exposure of yet. Essentially they want to have the actual vs budget report show the qty and revenue but at present can't have a budgeted qty. It's a check for stock forecasting accuracy as well as checking kpis for hitting qty sales as well as £. Thoughts/ideas welcome 🙂

i use statistical accounts for quantities for budgeting and reporting (though not to the item level, just at the GL level) with the reporting, you can pull through both budget and actuals for the stat + GL line, and use formulas to get ratios ie. budget pre unit, spend per unit and the variance

Hi @Annabel, the budget functionality in all ERP systems are generally limited to create budget at accounting level. Anything beyond is subject to Performance Management solution like planning and budgeting. I would not advise workarounds as this would create a lot of manual work and the ROI would be rather low. If budgeting, forecasting, versioning of budget based on changing business requirements is an important topic it would be good to look into optimizing the process with PBCS or likewise solutions.
