What is the criteria for the Primary Subsidiary being locked/uneditable on a customer record? I have two customers: • “Customer A” which is a Prospect under the Subsidiary “1234" • “Customer B” which is a Lead under the Subsidiary “6789" Both have Support Cases, Opportunities, and Estimates associated with them. The first one has the Primary Subsidiary locked (cannot be edited) but the second does not (I can change Primary Subsidiary). Why can I change it on one and not the other?
m
For previously existing customers, this field cannot be edited if any transactions have been saved against the record.
Are there transactions such as quotes on the Prospect?
j
Both have Support Cases, Opportunities, and Estimates associated with them.
m
But one is a Lead and the other a Prospect. I think that has something to do with it.
j
that’s what I’m wondering too
WAIT
never mind
m
??
j
one is a sub-customer of the other and the quote on the editable one is actually on the parent. Sigh.
m
Totally makes sense now Jen

Some people don’t like subsidiaries and some subsidiaries don’t like some people…lOL
