Hello all, does anyone know if it is possible to use a scheduled script to run and export an Income Statement report to a folder in the file cabinet?
l
I've never done it. from what I heard from others, no you can't. unless you can create a saved search that's identical to the report. however, you can schedule to email reports. email attachments are saved in file cabinet attachments folder.

You can recreate Income statement and call a scheduled script to download the csv in specific folder and update the file

@Marc The problem lies with reports like the Balance Sheet and NetSuite formula rows like Retained Earnings & Cumulative Translation Adjustment. We need these rows as well which a saved search cannot do to my knowledge. What are your thoughts on that?
m
But your question is for income statement no ? Retained earning and CTA are BS accounts
b
Yes, we need both. The problem arises more with the Balance Sheet
m
Just explain me why you need to export a csv report in file cabinet?
b
We are exporting reports like the balance sheet to be used by a different reporting software and trying to automate the whole process of running the report, getting it out of NetSuite and uploaded to the sftp folder to be used by the reporting software. We have already tried to use several different API methods for analytics, searches, etc with NetSuite, but we need the calculated fields like retained earnings, net income, and CTA which saved searches and analytics workbooks are unable to provide.

your tools can read an iqy file?
b
I believe so, yes

allow web queries on your report and download the file and open it with your tool Check if it can work like on Excel.
