I think the correlation @fkrauthan asserts may be driven more by the fact that these high level platforms such as NS come with 80%+ functionality done. Developers only do the remaining 20%. Hence the relative complexity of NS solutions is generally lower than greenfield development and hence requires less overall software engineering knowledge.
