Not possible AFAIK … It is not possible to remove existing custom objects with removing from SDF project

Correct. SDF is non-destructive. You cannot delete anything with it except in SuiteApp projects. You can only inactivate something if the XML exposes the

isinactive

field, which does not appear to be the case for custom fields.

and just to add side-effect when rename something > object with old name will remain and new one will be created
