@mg2017 Vendor and Customer fields or almost any other field were you type and the system find the record or customer or anything are fields with type select which mean they are a pair internalid: textstring...you can set value to those field only by internalid as far as I know... you can in the other hand read from most of them the value and the text with getValue and getText.
