Looking at bill.com integration (via Chase) but a quick scan on Reddit suggests it is terrible....any real life experiences on here?
m
I’ve used Bill.com many times with NetSuite. To put it nicely Bill.com is not my favorite
Lots of problems with the sync between NetSuite and Bill. Also if you do any purchasing of inventory, receiving , prepayments or inbound shipments it is pretty bad
p
We do all of those!
t
@MGBC What is your favorite?
m
I prefer ZoneCapture or Squareworks
Then use a tool for payments direct from NetSuite like FISPAN or the electronic payments bundle
I’ve also built a few custom integrations between NetSuite and banks to process payments but most of the bigger banks already have a treasury management solution you can connect to. I’ll never understand why they don’t promote them more. Chase has a really nice connection with NetSuite already built for AP and AR
It doesn’t do the OCR bill scanning but does all the payments direct from the Pay Bills page in NetSuite. (ACH, wire, check, ecard etc)

Thanks!

We asked Chase about NetSuite integration and they said it is via the Bill.com bundle.
m
Yeah, they are wrong
I've set it up before
I'm using it currently in one of my other accounts
p
Thanks, I will take a look

FISPAN rocks, I may be biased because 2017/18 I was a pro bono adviser for them on Netsuite specifically advice them on the NS bank payment module's inner working. It is a great FINTECH company in my hometown Vancouver. It's founder Lisa Shields sold her last company Hyperwallet to Paypal for cool $400 Million.
FYI in process of implementing Zone Capture and Zone Approval for OCR and P2P automation. Cool product.
p
Zone do look like they have some great products.

@fkrauthan is one of the lead at FISPAN

I can also attest to bill.com now working well with bill variances and multiple item receipt matching, I have had 2 customers cancel projects. We have had success with Zone Capture.

I have 2 clients with recent Zone Capture - I think that is the way - it's great! It may be harder/trickier to implement with direct connect electronic banking and zone capture but keeping it all in NetSuite is much better for down stream scalability :)
I so have several other clients on Bill.com and as long you check the sync as part of your month end process - it works well... Much easier to implement. But if you have the option to go the other way that is what I would recommend
I also will note many companies have recently moved to JPM - given the SVB and First Republic issues - the implementation services have been backlogged weeks.... it may be better now - just a data point to consider for your timeline. Ask about the backlog

Take a look at Medius AP Automation. Full capture-thru-pay SuiteApp.

Has anyone else had issues with the e electronic payments, module, and Citibank. One of the main issues that I seem to have is that I am getting a message that the file is already present on the server end, in other words, the Citibank end. The file never moves from the ach to be sent file in filecabinet to the archive folder. The process works fine for the other two banks that the client is using. Open to any suggestions as citibank has not been the most responsive on this.

@Sam-I-Am - I'm struggling a bit with their sales to get detailed answers - how locked down is their product? I'd like to be able to use their custom email capture to populate/default some of the bill fileds; do you know if there is logic you can configure or are we able to set the defaults via script using our own logic?
