@NSN you can use both APIs in the same NetSuite instance, that's not really working together, that's working independently. as @mattdahse said there are ways to make them work more closely but its not really beneficial in anyway. I think mostly people try to write new scripts in 2.0 but continue to maintain old 1.0 scripts in 1.0 rather than migrating given the time/cost that would take
