Hi All. Does anyone know if it is possible to specify that when displaying a workbook pivot table on my dashboard, to have it open in "collapsed" mode? What i mean by that can be seen in the two images below. The first one is how it opens up now, showing all the columns. The second is when i click on the minus sign in the column header for the field "Location". This second one is what it want displayed to all my users to get a quick summary of activity and NOT require them to hit that minus sign.

I don't know the answer to this, but does the URL change when you "collapse" the workbook? If it does, then maybe you can make use of the URL.

Interesting question. It doesn't change when collapsing, but i will investigate this further to see if URL parameter does exist. I did notice that there is a parameter called selectedViewId. This allows you to switch between different view types - pivot, chart & table. So this is a handy point to ensure the the right view shows up.
