Is there a way to show deferred revenue for a single period that hasn't had revenue recognition ran yet, either via saved search or report? For example, I haven't ran rev rec for Jan 2024 yet, but want to see the projected deferred revenue amount for Jan. Most out of the box reports I am looking at seem to total the remaining deferred revenue.

I'm not an accountant so may be completely off base here, but wouldn't the Deferred Revenue Waterfall report do this?
j
@michoel it would, but we dont have access to that report, we don't have that version of ARM
m
Ahh, can you sum up the total of all unrecognized revenue plans for that period?
j
we dont have revenue plans either
only revenue recognition schedules

Not a setup I'm familiar with, sorry. Maybe try posting in #C29HKGM6J or #C7NGZKN3D

Yes, it is possible to view projected deferred revenue for a specific period that hasn't had revenue recognition run yet in NetSuite. You can do this through a customized Saved Search or report. Here is a brief guide on how you can achieve this: 1. Go to Reports > Financial > Deferred Revenue. 2. Set the date range to the specific period you want to view (in your case, Jan 2024). 3. Under "Show," select "Projected." 4. Then, under "Group by," select "Period." 5. Click "Customize" to add or remove columns according to your needs. This will give you a report with the projected deferred revenue for Jan 2024. However, please note that this report will only show you projections based on the current schedule and might not be 100% accurate until revenue recognition is run for that period. I hope this helps.

Note that if you have only Rev Rec Schedules, you're using Legacy Rev Rec. I'm not sure that's supported anymore, though check me on that. Sucks to have to pay for ARM, but I'd probably start looking into it, especially if you find out Legacy Rev Rec is no longer supported. e:or some other 3rd party tool if you don't want to use NetSuite's

@RJMNS, we have ARM, but not the revenue allocation module, so we have certain components of ARM only
