Hi, I'm putting this in #C298P0BCK but the answer(if there is one) could be #C29HQS63G or #C2C2JM29M. We are using Unit Types for our items, and assign the Primary Stock Unit, Primary Purchase Unit and Primary Sale Unit. We sell primarily wholesale, but we also have a retail store. There are many items that have the Primary Sale Unit set to a larger carton, such as Case. However, the retail store needs to sell at a smaller unit.
So, we created a custom field, Retail Sales Unit. This field has a list of values(Each, Bag, Pack, etc.) that we want to use for retail. The problem is, this list is only text values, there is no direct link to the Unit Type assigned to the item, or the individual Units that make up that particular Unit Type. Our Point of Sale software(TCS POS) is not able to use this text value.
Is there any way to have our custom field behave like the native fields like Primary Sale Unit, where the dropdown would be a list of the Units of Measure that are part of the Unit Type assigned to the Item Record and the selected unit is an actual Unit of Measure(assuming an Internal ID)?
