Anyone have issues with sending Email Alerts through a Saved Search? I want the Saved Search to send me emails when the record has been created or updated but it doesn't. I have the schedule made and the appropriate boxes checked. I've heard the Saved Search Email Alert is a hit or miss and a workflow is better

I have had this as well and the one thing I have seen fix it, is if you edit the saved search, then click on the drop down on the Save button and select Save & Email, this usually fixes it, at least for me.

not sure what that does, my thoughts are it checks a box or adds this search to a table or something behind the scenes, I have tried determine that but have not had any luck, but always seems to fix it for me.

A workflow triggered on create or edit is pretty easy to setup too. Trigger it on create/edit then add a send email action.
