anybody have any idea why a custom TimeOfDay type record is not showing up in the record catalog?

I assume you mean field type. Time Of Day field type seems to have limited support in queries. I know it doesn't work in SuiteQL.

Yes, sorry meant a record field that is a Time of Day type.

It does seem like that's the case.

I just loaded the record using the record module in suitescripts and that brought it the field.
