why can’t I set the value of subsidiary on an opportunity when it’s being created using
create record
action in a workflow? Subsidiary doesn’t appear as an option.

Unfortunately, NetSuite does not make some fields availablbe to SuiteFlow....Subsidiary is one of them.

Not available for setValue. It is annoying for me. I would like to automate entering a transaction with ‘default’ values for subsidiary, and location fields and it is not possible (afaik)
j
Subsidiary is a sourced field from the entity chosen on the opportunity. Are you using multi-subsidiary customers who actually have multiple subsidiaries assigned on the customer record? Otherwise, you would not need to set the value, it'd source from the entity.
j
@Jordan Patterson Yes, all our customers are set up for all our subsidiaries. Turns out even if I could do the above it doesn’t matter: we are creating Opportunities from Cases, and we cannot set the Subsidiary on a Case to anything other than the customer’s primary Subsidiary! OneWorld is like 45% functional….I feel like we were lied to about how it operates when we made the decision to start using it.

I'm impressed that you can manage to create a case via workflow!
j
in this scenario we are create the Opportunity via WF.
But we do have other WFs that create Cases.
It’s just a Create Record action…
