I’m trying to change one of our employees’ email address / login. when I changed it, it now says “This user has different email addresses to login into the system and receive notifications. Please update this record with the email address, you want to be used as a login name and notifications.” Where do I do that update? I have already saved the employee record with the new email.

Our inhouse chatbot spat out this response (see image). And one of the sources was this SuiteAnswer which would seem to confirm this: https://suiteanswers.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/79922/loc/en_US I don't perform admin tasks but it looks correct to me. HTH.

So basically, it is a bug in NetSuite
the user was somehow able to resolve it themselves….not sure how

That's really cool. Is this chatbox available for everyone or just for your company?

@Koon Kabob It's something I started as a fun project on my local machine and has been expanded on by me and my work mates and currently only used by our company, for the moment. Support find it really useful, they can drop email bodies in to it and about 80% of the time it's able to give "good to go" responses. The good thing is it's knowledge base is only from NS docs/ SuiteAnswers/ Apache Freemarker/ BFO no pollution from sources deemed unreliable. 🙂
