One of my user is having the following error in intercompany elimination in the period close process - Please enter value(s) for: Memo even though Memo field is populated during this operation. Also setup>accounting>account preferences > general >classification> allow empty classification on Journal is checked. Nothing should stop it from finishing. Any idea?

is Memo mandatory field at the line level? header level? Do all transactions (IC SOs, IC VBs, etc) have those fields populated?

Memo is mandatory in header level (form based) - this may be the cause. I did turned it off - let see whats happen when controller tries again. This is new implementation and 1st month end. Consultants made the field mandatory. I have checked my dev acct and other instances I have access to none has memo mandatory at the form level. Since period check list is a suitelet it can interfere with the form - same thing true for add charges on match bank data page a known defect. @Karina thanks for the input

you cannot really make those memo fields mandatory because or IC AR and IC AP journal postings..
