I have a sublist on the employee record, which comes from a custom record where one of the fields is marked “Record is Parent” on the employee record. In the admin role, and another role role, I can see the sublist correctly on the employee form. However, in another role (which has ‘Full’ permission to the custom record type) this sublist is missing. How can I configure this editable sublist to show up under both roles?

Hi, just curious, does this "another role" has can access the custom record outside the Employee Record?
c
Yes, they can view/edit/create the other records, but for some reason the sublist just isn’t showing up
t
Ok, on the employee record, did you specified the form the role use?
c
I don’t believe so but let me check
I can confirm that both roles use the same cusom form

Can you try moving a field on the subtab where the sublist is present. Then check again using the role that cant see the subtab
c
Just tried that. No luck 😕
t
sublist not showing?
c
Correct, not for that role
t
Have you tried using a different browser?
i
Is it coming from a search, do they have access to that search?
c
It’s not coming from a search. I did setup a custom search, which does show up. But the search doesnt have the “New Record” button above it like the standard sublist does

What setting for permissdions do you have on the custom record itself, they can be a bit funny as you potentially have to set the right permissions there AND on the role in question.
