I'm a beginner in NetSuite and some concepts are quite different from the ERPs I used in the past.
I'm trying to have a "customized items" workflow and don't know how to implement it.
The idea is:
• 1 Sales create a new Sales Order that includes a sort of generic item + a document describing the customized order
• 2 Production manager create a work order with this generic item and includes some Assemblies (base assembly + options assemblies) + some components to fulfill this customized order.
• 3 Manufacturing do the fulfilment of the work order
• 4 This customized item is now in stock and the individual components have been "consumed"
• 5 Supply chain can ship this item to customer and it can be invoiced.
Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to do this properly, fulfilling the work order does not work and I can't see the individual components of the work order.
How would you implement such a workflow in Netsuite?
Note that I have Advance Bills of Material activated.
